PADS & TAMPONS DON'T JUST DISAPPEAR
Every 10 years, each woman using disposable sanitary pads (and tampons in some countries) creates 65lbs or 30kgs of waste. Compare that to 0.2lbs or 0.09kg from a menstrual cup.
If 1 million women use a menstrual cup over the next 10 years, the amount of waste added to landfills could be reduced by 6.4 MILLION lbs or 2.9 MILLION kgs!
To put this into perspective — there are roughly 2 BILLION women of menstruating age in the world and most women menstruate for around 30 years.
6.5 lbs per year x 30 years x 2,000,000,000 women =
390 BILLION lbs of waste that could be eliminated by using menstrual cups.
Save Money and Make a Difference in the Process!
If all women in the world will use menstrual cups, menstruation-related waste will go down to 99.48%.
Isn't it nice if this is the only thing that you will use and reuse for 10 years? If disposed of at a landfill for incineration, the silicone (unlike plastic) is converted back into inorganic, harmless ingredients: amorphous silica, carbon dioxide, and water vapor.
“I am SOLD, I really would want to buy now and own one, but I still have a few questions.”
We perfectly understand. We were just like you the first time we read about menstrual cup. We want to know everything about it. Here are a few things that my clients and customers ask, along with my responses! If you’ve got more questions, don’t hesitate to email our team at email@example.com or better yet chat with us at our FACEBOOK PAGE.
Q: Is it easy to use?
A: We won’t give false expectations that it is easy to use for everyone for the first time. There are some women who are immediate PRO users on first day of the cycle, but there are some who may need a few more tries before getting it. The key here is to relax when inserting it and find the best cup fold that suits you. And when removing the cup, don't tug it. Pinch it first so as to release the suction, and then gently ease it out.
Q: How to use it?
A: If you have used tampons before, you'll quickly get the idea on how to use a menstrual cup. But if you haven't, it may come as a foreign idea to you. Basically, a menstrual cup is inserted inside your vagina to collect the menstrual fluid. It is designed to fit snugly in your cervix so as to create a vacuum that will keep the cup in place.
The cup is soft and when folded is small enough to get inserted easily in the vaginal opening. Once inserted, you will feel a "pop;" this is the cup that unfolds open once fully inserted inside.
Before the 12th hour of use, the cup should be removed, emptied and washed clean before reinserting. It is best to empty it less than 12 hours if you have a heavy flow.
The cup that you will purchase comes with instruction booklet to guide you on how to use it.
Q: It it safe?
A: Yes! Mayumi Menstrual Cup is made from 100% Medical-Healthcare Grade Class VI Silicone that is non-allergenic and non-toxic, proven with bio-compatibility certifications provided by the manufacturer with every shipment. Mayumi Menstrual Cup is soft and safe, even for people with skin sensitivities, unlike scratchy and drying tampons and pads made with chemicals and bleach.
Q: What's the best size for me?
A. Measuring your Cervix Height
First wash your hands, then insert a finger into your vaginal canal as far as you can until the tip of your finger reaches your cervix:
- Size 2: Whole finger fits or you can't even reach your cervix
- Size 1: Half or more of your finger fits
- Mini: Half or less of your finger fits
If you find the stem protrudes or is uncomfortable with any of the cups, you can cut the stem off - just be sure not to make a hole in the cup!
Please note - all fingers and cervices are different, so these are just general guidelines.
If you are uncomfortable with this method or have any questions or concerns, please consult your doctor prior to using Mayumi Menstrual Cup.

"My OB-Gyn informed me that I have low cervix. Menstrual cup isn’t new to me and I have tried a lot of brands available, but I haven’t found one that fits me. Most sell only 2 sizes, but even their smallest size is still too big for me. This is why I became so interested with Mayumi Cup when they opened for a Pre-Order because they have a 3rd size, the MINI, that I think will fit me. And it did!"
